A. SHOWROOM SHIELD is a waterless car wash and protective wax.

Q. Why is it possible to apply SHOWROOM SHIELD over a dirty surface?

Detergents and wetting agents in SHOWROOM SHIELD combine to soften and emulsify surface grime, while a special blend of fluids and lubricants attach a microscopic layer to the surface.

Q. What is the SHOWROOM SHIELD warranty in regards to scratched or damaged paint?
A. Our warranty basically states that because the company is unable to stand over the customer's shoulder as they polish their vehicle-making sure that each direction is being followed to the letter- we cannot be positive that a damage claim is legitimate. It will be up to the customer to prove that SHOWROOM SHIELD caused the damage.

Q. How durable is SHOWROOM SHIELD?
A. Extremely durable. SHOWROOM SHIELD can bead water for a year or more even on something as extreme as a windshield - a surface that is constantly being scrubbed by windshield wipers, ice scrapers, bug scrapers, etc.

A. No. The sprinkles can be easily wiped off at the owners convenience... even months later.

Q. What buffer speed works best?
A. 1,500 to 2,000 R.P.M.
(plus or minus). A variable-speed buffer is ideal, but any high-speed unit will do the job. Do not buff with the edge of the pad... use the entire surface when possible. Operate the buffer using unhurried, overlapping circular motions, while maintaining firm downward pressure. *Before attempting to use SHOWROOM SHIELD with a high-speed buffer, you should be experienced in the usage of the buffer and the differences in paint types with regards to buffer use.

Q. what other buffing tips do you suggest?
A. DO NOT use an ORBITAL buffer. An orbital buffer will do nothing for the paint that polishing by hand can't do better and faster.

Q. How heavy should the spray be?
A. MORE IS NOT NECESSARILY BETTER. Spray with long sweeping motions, holding the bottle at least 12" from the surface.

Q. Can I spray SHOWROOM SHIELD directly on the hand towel before rubbing it into the paint?
A. Definitely No. Doing so will void the warranty! The only time this is recommended is when applying SHOWROOM SHIELD to the inside windshield in order to prevent polish sprinkles from drifting into inaccessible areas.

Q. Should anything other than a terry hand towel be used to apply SHOWROOM SHIELD?
A. The only recommended substitute is a wool bonnet when buffing.

Q. Should SHOWROOM SHIELD be removed while it's still damp, or should it be allowed to dry completely?
A. Normally, it makes no difference; but in cases where the paint is in very poor condition, i.e., dry, rough, oxidized, etc., it is better to remove the polish IMMEDIATELY before moving to the next area.

Q. How many waterless wash and polish jobs can I expect to get from a bottle of SHOWROOM SHIELD?
A. Using a brand new, compact-sized vehicle as an illustration, the 32oz. should yield 8 polish jobs including glass. Of course logic dictates that the larger the vehicle, or the worse the condition of the paint, the more SHOWROOM SHIELD you're going to use.

Q. How soon can SHOWROOM SHIELD be applied to a repainted vehicle?
A. Both the paint industry and the automobile industry generally endorse a "90-day policy" in regard to newly-painted and newly re-painted surfaces.

Q. Are there other uses for SHOWROOM SHIELD?
A. SHOWROOM SHIELD has numerous uses other than just a car cleaner, polish and sealant. It cleans a wide range of items from household tile and countertops to polishing your silver and jewelry. A. It can, but only if the finish is relatively new, has been already treated, or the spotting hasn't set too deeply. Even then, it may require the use of a HIGH SPEED BUFFER.

Q. Does SHOWROOM SHIELD provide protection against ultra-violet radiation?
A. SHOWROOM SHIELD contains two special ingredients to help protect against ultra-violet damage, but one should be aware that nothing can totally protect a surface from exposure to something as powerful as the sun.

Q. Is it safe to apply SHOWROOM SHIELD under direct sunlight or to a hot surface?
A. Yes, provided the material is buffed in immediately. A garage or outdoor shady area offers the best working environment by far.
